Veriant Solutions is currently looking to fill a Director, Program Management position with one of our best clients in the Greenwood Village, CO area.
What You’ll Do:
In this position, you will be responsible for leading large, complex technical projects and company-wide programs. You will direct a team of Project Managers overseeing project scope, timing, and budgets and more. On a day to day basis, you can expect to:
- Be the main point of contact for ensuring all project management processes and methodologies and deliveries are on time and within budget while exceeding quality standards and business owner expectations.
- Be accountable for plans and teamwork assignments, for directing work efforts, reviewing integrated project plans, and escalating and communicating resource needs.
- Ensure completion of quality reviews, and resolve any issues as appropriate.
- Manage your team to guarantee project scope, timing, and budgets are adjusted as needed.
- Be responsible for tracking key project milestones and recommending adjustments to Project Managers.
- Reports and presents to Executives through project including status updates, and translation of technical jargon.
What You Bring:
You are a qualified director level professional with experience overseeing large detailed projects while maintaining a big picture point of view. You understand the technical details of projects and are a great communicator. You have:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science or related field
- At least 10-15 years of experience in the technical or telecommunications field
- At least 7 years of experience managing project managers
- Significant project and program management experience
- Ability to lead a team with multiple ongoing projects
- Experience reporting and presenting to senior leadership and boards
- PMP or PgMP certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum.
