Veriant is currently looking for a Systems Administrator for one of our top clients in the Broomfield area. This will consist of analyzing systems, any upgrades/changes and assessing current and future needs for the organization.
What You’ll Do:
You will be the go-to technology resource in a new office of a growing company. On a day–to-day basis, you can expect to:
- Manage the configuration of all Windows operating systems
- Manage Linux operating systems, design administration and maintenance
- Hardware maintenance and support
- Monitor, diagnose, and resolve common operating system problems
- Assist with the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of hardware, operating systems, and application software
- Manage backup and recovery operations
- Maintaining Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance
- Propose and implement system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of the system.
- Provide support and assistance for the IT service desk with IT infrastructure issues
What You Bring:
You are a well-rounded IT professional who loves to solve problems. You have:
- 2 year degree in CS or equivalent Information Technology experience
- Technical support, helpdesk, desktop support, system administration, or related experience.
- Strong computer and troubleshooting skills using Windows-based OS and Linux OS.
- Proven ability to install, upgrade, repair, move and replace desktops, laptops, smart phones/tablets and other technical equipment.
- Basic familiarity with data backup best practices, disaster recovery and system imaging.
- Knowledge of networking equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Willing and available to be on call for emergency situations
What We Offer:
