Veriant Solutions is actively seeking a remote, Senior Software Engineer for one of our top clients. As the Senior Software Engineering, your time will be spent creating dynamic software solutions. This position will be critical in helping build solutions that streamline business process while aligning to architectural goals and technical roadmaps.
What You Bring:
- 3+ years professional programming experience
- Write well-designed, testable code
- Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility
- Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
- Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
- Document and maintain software functionality
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
- Extremely proficient with JavaScript
- Familiarity with Relational Databases (MS SQL Preferred)
- Languages/Frameworks necessary: JS, CSS, HTML, JSX, React, jQuery
- Experience with front end API’s
- Strong T-SQL skills
- Experience with Google Cloud Platforms (GCP), or AWS, Azure
- Experience with building middleware and APIs
- Experience with ETLs through SSIS or similar
- Experience with Kubernetes (nice to have)
What You’ll Do:
- As a Senior Software Engineer, you will join one of our service platform teams as a key contributor to the development of our technology and will be expected to (i) provide high quality contributions to the code base, with a mind to best practices, stability and up-time, (ii) work with senior leadership to architect solutions and ensure that we deliver the right functionality, in a timely manner, and (iii) mentor junior engineers to develop the next generation of engineering. In this hands-on role, you’ll be able to see your work as it powers tools used by other teams to improve customer service and customer experience.
- Identify & propose emerging software engineering technologies, methodologies and/or approaches
- Delegate engineering assignments & assess engineering performance
- Understand business processes and requirements and translate them to software functional requirements
- Provide high quality code reviews and scalable architectural designs
- Mentor new hires and other engineers to help them become more proficient by example, tech talks, paired programming, and other avenues to increase technical efficiency across the organization
